Based out of Santa Clara, CA, PanTerra Networks is a leading provider of cloud-based Unified Communications solutions for mid-market enterprises (MME) meaning companies with anywhere from 50 to 5,000 employees, and revenues between $50M and $5B. The provider’s primary offering is referred to as Streams, and is both a fully managed and self-managed unified cloud IT service.

With Stream, users gain access to an entire Unified Communications platform, including team messaging, presence indication, Hosted PBX capabilities, web, video and audio conferencing, as well as access to the provider’s own unique file sharing service, File Sync &  Share. Editor’s Bottom Line:

PanTerra’s Stream platform is a bit of a unique offering in the market, one that does not have too many competitor’s. In the Business VoIP space, the closest comparisons to make would be to RingCentral’s Glip platform. Users gain the ability to contextualize everything they do, with team messaging at the fore front of communications. Users can create different conversations for teams, departments, projects or just one on one conversations. An update feed lets everyone know who is working on what, so Stream really expands itself into a collaboration tool just as much as a communication tool.

A softphone is built right into the app as well, but users can also utilize desk phones for a standard telephony experience. Both file sharing and collaborating is made super easy with the Stream app, which can also be accessed on desktops or on mobile devices for true mobility. Another unique aspect of PanTerras is that the service can either be fully managed by PanTerra for a true hosted experience, or self-managed by the Enterprise with their SentraCloud solution, for a tighter control on security and compliance needs.

As I said before, PanTerra’s Streams app allows for some powerful collaboration, replacing obsolete team messaging apps, or even working as a full replacement for something like Slack. Streams adds more than just chat, including content sharing from audio recordings to video HD video conferencing, or even screen share capabilities. Everything is persistent, just as we’ve come to expect from more modern cloud platforms. The integrated file sharing is also HIPAA secure to ensure the tightest security and compliance needs for any Enterprise.

We switched our insurance agency phone service to Cabertel about 5 months ago and are SUPER happy with the experience. Excellent customer service; great phone features and voice quality. Our account manager is very responsive. Plus! We will save at least $3,000 a year from our prior service. Also had the opportunity to use their smart phone app to communicate with our office while in Canada. Worked great! No extra cost.

We selected CaberTel as our VoIP provider because of their affordability and adaptability to fit their services to meet our business needs. As a start-up, both of those factors were highly important. Not only that, but when I do need help or have a question…I get personal service from a contact I know on a first name basis! I don’t have to go through some call center queue and get bounced around. They’ve been really great and I don’t see any reason why CaberTel will not continue to be our phone provider as our business needs grow either! Only con: we use the mobile app a lot for our business. VoIP messaging would be nice to have, but it’s not a critical need.

Excellent service all around! The order, setup, and startup of this new phone system in our office was seamless. We are a nonprofit so cost was a factor in deciding to switch from Comcast to CaberTel. The price of the phone service is about 1/2 of our previous service. The quality of the phone hardware is great, too. The customer service at CaberTel is fantastic. It is great to talk to someone local (US) who is knowledgeable and friendly! We’re pleased to be CaberTel customers.
